About

The mission of this website is to provide information to federal workers about their legal rights. The site is maintained by James & Hoffman, a law firm representing employees. This site does not constitute legal advice. For advice specific to your situation, you should contact a lawyer.

The information on this site generally applies to employees of the federal government’s executive branch, and may not apply to employees of the judicial branch or congress. We generally use the term “federal workers” to refer to both employees and contractors, while we use the term “federal employees” to refer solely to employees.

This site includes many links to external content, including webpages published by the U.S. government.  For some of these links, we have created “perma links” using perma.cc.  The perma links will allow you to access the external content even if its owner removes it from the internet.  We provide perma links in the list of resources at the bottom of each topic page.
